Offerings
At Where The Wild Things Are, we make sure that every session is an opportunity to grow, learn, and make connections by creating professional, personal, and safe programmes.
Professional
Our leaders are Forest School and Outdoor Learning accredited practitioners, with a wealth of knowledge and experience working with young people in outdoors settings.

We encourage our leaders to be lifelong learners by supporting them in continuously developing their skills and understanding. Practitioners have completed additional training in inclusion, child protection, additional support needs, trauma informed practice, bullying, and more. Our team are always working to expand their knowledge in educational practice, and deepen their understanding of the natural environment.
Personal
We work closely with our partners, clients, and the learners themselves to tailor each programme to the group's specific needs.

We keep our sessions small, which helps guarantee learners have a more personal experience. Keeping our groups at a max of12 learners enables us to support individuals according to their needs.

We come to you, running our sessions out of green spaces near you. This provides learners with familiarity and security, while also cutting travel time and costs.
Safe
Safety is our highest priority, and we take great care to ensure our learners' wellbeing. We have a comprehensive policy document and risk assessment portfolio, covering safety and best practice for all our activities and environments.

We ensure our sites are safe and secure by conducting pre-programme site surveys, and continuously assessing any site specific hazards or conditions.

Our staff are Outdoor First Aid qualified, and carry a fully stocked first aid kit at all times.

School Programmes
We offer a unique programme for schools and other education providers by combining the forest school ethos, outdoor learning practice, and the school curriculum. Our cross-disciplinary approach creates an educational experience that provides pupils with the amazing benefits of forest school, and enhances the school curriculum and learning experience.

We take care of all the details from individualised session plans, to full risk assessments. We also cover all things forest school, such as sourcing materials, set up and tidy up, equipment, insurance, and a complete risk management plan.
